Privacy

This site is a stack of static files. It has no accounts, no basket, no login and no server-side code that knows who you are, and the shortest honest version of this notice is: we do not collect anything about you here.

Cookies

None. We set no cookies at all, which is why you have not been asked to agree to any. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no social widget and no session identifier. The only JavaScript on the page is our own, it runs entirely in your browser, and it does two things: it opens buy links, and it does the arithmetic in the wall planner. What you type into the planner never leaves the device and is not stored anywhere, including on the device.

Server logs

The pages are served by a content delivery network, which keeps ordinary technical logs — requested address, timestamp, rough location, browser string, and an IP address that the network truncates or hashes. Those records exist to keep the site up and to absorb attacks, they are kept briefly, and we do not use them to build a profile of anybody or combine them with anything else.

Leaving this site

Every buy button hands you over to a retail partner, and from that click onwards you are in their world and under their privacy policy, not ours. Large retailers do track their visitors, thoroughly and across sessions; that is a matter between you and them, and it is worth reading their notice if it concerns you. We receive nothing back about what you looked at or whether you bought.

Email

If you write to [email protected] we obviously have your address and whatever you chose to tell us. We use it to answer you and nothing else: no newsletter, no list, no passing it on. Threads are deleted once they are finished, apart from fault reports, which we keep as a dated note of the design and the batch — without your contact details — because that is how a recurring defect gets caught.

Children

Nothing here is aimed at children and nothing here collects data from anyone, so there is no children’s data to speak of.

Your rights, and how to use them

Under the GDPR, the CCPA and comparable laws you may ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its use. In practice the answer to the first question is almost always "an email thread, if you have written to us." Ask at the address above and we will deal with it.
