Where do I actually buy these?
Through our retail partners. Every Buy button on this site opens the piece’s listing at a retailer who holds the stock, takes the payment and ships the parcel. There is no checkout here, and there is no ESTART warehouse in the United States — the company is in Hangzhou and sells into the US through partners with warehouses inside the country.
Is the price on this site the price I pay?
Treat it as an indication. Prices here are copied from the retailer’s listing when the site is rebuilt, and retailers change prices whenever they like. The number on the listing you land on is the real one; if the two disagree, the listing wins.
What are they made of?
Sheet steel or iron, cut with a laser and powder-coated. The finish is baked on rather than sprayed and left to dry, which is why a matte black piece stays matte instead of going shiny where it is handled. Nothing in this catalog is printed, plated or plastic.
Can they go outside?
48 of the 82 listings mention outdoor use, and the sensible reading of that is a covered porch, a sheltered patio wall or a fence panel under an eave. Powder coat is tough but it is not a marine coating: standing rain, salt air and sprinklers will find the cut edges and start rust there first. If a listing does not mention outdoor use, hang it indoors.
How do I know what size to buy?
Use the wall planner. It asks how wide the wall or the furniture is, how many panels you want and how big a gap you like, then works out the size each panel should be and lists the pieces closest to it. It is the one tool on this site that is ours rather than the retailer’s, and it exists because scale is what people get wrong.
Which way up does it hang — portrait or landscape?
We deliberately do not say, because the source data contradicts itself: the same physical design is filed as landscape in black and as portrait in gold. Rather than repeat a claim we cannot stand behind, this site quotes only the longest side of a piece, which is the measurement that stays true whichever way you turn it. The product photograph shows the intended orientation.
Does it come with screws and anchors?
That depends on the piece and the retailer, and the listings are not consistent about it, so we will not promise hardware we cannot see in the box. Most designs have keyholes or pre-drilled holes cut into the metal itself. Assume you are supplying the fixings, pick them for your wall rather than for the piece, and you will never be caught out on a Sunday afternoon.
Why do several different pieces show the same rating and review count?
Because they are one listing. When a design is sold in four finishes under a single product page, every review of every finish lands in one pile, and the retailer reports that pile against all of them. We show the real number and label it as shared rather than dividing it up or pretending each colorway earned it separately.
Some pieces have no rating at all. Why?
Because nobody has reviewed them yet, or the rating was not readable when we last collected data. An empty rating means exactly that. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a plausible-looking number.
Do you sell anything other than metal wall art?
No. 82 designs, 6 subjects, one material. Everything in the catalog is a flat cut-metal piece meant to hang on a wall or a door.
